“It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others”

Name: Christina Lee Billings AKA Crashtina
Nationality: Jacksonville, NC
Speciality: Pro Motorcycle Stunt Rider
We’ve spent some time getting to know this glam gal and it’s been great hearing how she makes her stamp on the circuit. Christina is a Professional Stunt Rider, touring around America with her Pride ‘n’ Joy and loyal companion, Harley Davidson. Now, anyone who knows as little as we did about Harleys will know enough: They’re hot.. but heavy! It’s one thing to ride one, it’s another to trick with one! So, How does she do it?!

In this fairytale, it begins with a girl and her bike. Initially guided by a few coaches who helped her learn the basics and gain confidence, she has mainly self taught and further developed her skills to achieve more complex stunts and crazy core strength.
For the most part, no one can really “teach” you, but helpful pointers and tips can save money and time. My top coaches were the guys from Northeast Chill and Damien Hunt from Core6.”
Having had a few ‘expensive‘ injuries to not only herself but her motorbike as well, she has learnt the hard way what NOT to do. This has only helped her in reaching the exceptional level of talent she has now. Working mainly on cement/ concrete she has at time worked on ice when back home in Massachusetts.. Now, that’s something we’d like to see!
Christina has gained a high profile amongst the race tracks and bike enthusiasts by performing at various Bike weeks/ Bike events. She captivates audiences with her sheer passion and enthusiasm. Every stunt is intricately choreographed in time to music which makes a mesmerising show. She has built an online community of over 75k followers across her social media where she debuts her latest trick shots.

‘What’s your favourite memory you have with working with your harley?’
“One of the best memories I had of riding my harley was when I got to ride in Sturgis for the 75th Anniversary. There were hundreds of people at our shows and it made me so happy to see their smiling faces.”
‘For people wanting to try this out who are maybe nervous or are looking to get started what advice would you give them?’
“I would strongly advise to invest in the proper protective gear. Speed and Strength makes great helmets, jackets, padded pants, and boots… etc… I would also strongly advise to TAKE YOUR TIME. Learn Slowly!!!!!! I see people get hurt when they try to rush and learn things. I have seen someone’s leg literally get ripped off right before my eyes because they were RUSHING the learning process. TAKE YOUR TIME!! ENJOY making small bits of progress and be happy with that.”
‘Have you ever had any injuries or tricks turned bad? Do you still get nervous?’
“I am always nervous when I try new tricks. Sometimes I feel like I think too much while learning new tricks, but I would rather think too much and take my time – than get hurt and rushing to learn new tricks. Know your limits and push them only when you are 100% feeling it that day. If you are tired or frustrated, don’t push too hard because you will get hurt.”
We think it’s important to see that all athletes, stunt riders and professionals of any area of expertise still get nervous as it shows we are able to overcome this and take that next step in working towards achieving our goals.

DESIRE.STRIVE.THRIVE

In life, we all face challenges day to day, some bigger than others. We find it’s important to have a motivational lifeline that we can turn to in times when we most need it to overcome our fear; A personal Pep Talk. We ask each of our representatives to tell us there’s.
Here is Christinas:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others”
